Re: [St-dev] Locale setting related query

Luke, Matthew,

How should we set default user locale to ja?
I think system locale is set at socialtext.conf.

When we set system locale to ja, Is default user locale set to ja?

Best Regards,
Takatoshi Kitano

Mugunth,

After you install Socialtext with i18n features, a locale setting should already be in socialtext.conf. You'd just need to un- comment it.

Socialtexters,

I'm ass-u-ming that socialtext.conf is updated with new settings on upgrade - is this not the case?

You ass-u-med correctly. AppConfig reads in the conf file, remembers the old values, and writes them out along w/ the new ones. This requires that genconfig is run at some point, which for our build process it should be.
